Here are links to all of the freeware/shareware software referenced in the guides. I'll try to keep the links updated, but they may not always work. Use your head (and Google) if they stop working.
Exact Audio Copier : I am currently using both V1.00 beta 3 and V0.99 beta 5 until I decide the older version is no longer needed.
NOTE: If your EAC is not detecting your CDROMs, goto options menu and change from external ASPI to builtin, and restart. If this works, flip it back to external, restart, if it is still not seeing your drives, then copy the WNASPI32.DLL from your Nero directory into the root of the EAC directory. This fixed my problem when one day my machine decided to stop seeing drives in EAC. Win7x64 users may need to run-as administrator when using EAC versions below v1.x,
AccurateRip : May 2005 version is the latest version I have configured and tested. The .DLL file gets copied into the root directory of EAC. Looks like AR is bundled with EAC automatically in the newer v1.x versions, just make sure to enable it and calibrate it with a few test CD rips. There are over 1 million key discs in the database, so it shouldn't take too long to find a few to calibrate your offsets with.
LAME DLLs for Windows : V3.99.3 (2011-November) is the current DLL bundle I am using with EAC/AccurateRip. There is now a 64-bit compiled version of the LAME DLLs, either one works under 64-bit Windows. Under EAC v1.x I am using either: v2: "%islow%-V 5%islow%%ishigh%-V 2%ishigh% --vbr-new %source% %dest%", or v0: "%islow%-V 2%islow%%ishigh%-V 0%ishigh% --vbr-new %source% %dest%" as my mp3 compression settings, with v0 being my normal usage. I am using "-V 0 -q 0" for my EAC0.99.
MultiPAR : V1.1.9.6 is the what I have started using under 64-bit Windows 7 for creating the handy PAR2 checksum files I use when archiving them to DVD. I have created a local download mirror just in case the original Japanense site is down = MultiPar_v1-1-9-6_nov2011.zip ~537K
QuickPAR : V0.91 is the last version made, and perfectly fine on 32-bit XP/Vista/Windows for creating the handy PAR2 checksum files I use when archiving them to DVD.
MP3 Collectorz : V1.8 is what I originally bought and using successfully, but there appears to have died at 2.3.1 version. Most people probably don't even need it, it doesn't get that much use by me currently. It is handy for renaming my old MP3 files from years back, for consistency.
iTunes or VideoLAN Player : Are what I currently use for playing my music, and/or managing my 30,000+ tracks on my iPods. Surprisingly with all iTunes faults and quirks, it is the only thing that handles my large library and associate meta data, plus all my ties to Last.FM, etc. If someone can prove to me an alternative, like SongBird, can do better let me know because they've all choked when trying to chew on my collection.
